SPECIALITIES
Suicide and Grief Psychologist in Málaga
Facing a loss or deep emotional pain is not easy. As a psychologist specialising in grief and suicide prevention, I support you from a professional, empathetic and committed perspective, helping you regain balance and find meaning amid suffering.
WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE?
Specialised clinical and emotional approach
Grief after suicide and self-destructive thoughts require specific, deep and respectful psychological care. It is not just about talking: it is about building a safe and therapeutic space that allows pain to be held, understood and transformed.
Grief after suicide
The loss of a loved one to suicide generates a particularly complex type of grief: guilt, lack of understanding, anger and social silence may appear. My support is based on respect for each individual process, emotional validation and therapeutic techniques that help integrate the loss without judgement.
Suicide prevention
I work with people who have suicidal thoughts or who live with someone at risk. Identifying early warning signs, building a support network and acting with emotional responsibility are part of the work I do. You are not alone: asking for help is an act of courage.
Complicated or pathological grief
When pain does not lessen over time and paralyses everyday life, we are facing a type of grief that requires clinical intervention. Through my experience in clinical psychology and emergencies, I offer you a personalised approach to unblock suffering and recover well-being.
Specialised psychological support
With 20 years of professional experience between Spain and the United Kingdom, and solid training in trauma, emergencies and gender, I offer close, safe and professional care. My approach is integrative and adapted to each case, from third-generation therapies to techniques such as EMDR.

THE PROCESS
A guided and careful path
Therapy is not improvised: it is a structured process with clear goals. From the very first moment, I support you with professionalism, clarity and humanity.
FIRST ASSESSMENT
In the first session, we explore your situation, your symptoms, your context and your needs. We establish a space of trust where you can express yourself without fear or judgement.
INTERVENTION
We design a personalised treatment plan, choosing the most appropriate techniques: cognitive behavioural therapy, EMDR, systemic therapy, psychoanalysis, among others. You set the pace, and the content is adapted to your process.
FOLLOW-UP
Together, we assess progress, resolve blocks and adapt the support according to your evolution. The goal is for you to regain functionality, meaning in life and emotional stability.
ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS
Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on the severity of the case and the symptoms, but it is recommended that, for approximately the first six weeks, appointments be weekly and then fortnightly. However, this will depend on each case, the symptoms and the associated risks.
If a considerable amount of time has passed since the loss and you still feel that you cannot move forward, if there is extreme sadness, isolation, guilt or recurring thoughts of death, it is time to ask for help. Therapy can help you get out of that blockage.
It is common for people who are suffering to deny the need for help. I can guide you on how to support them, how to talk to them and what to do when warning signs appear. You can also come to consultation yourself to manage the situation.
I mainly work with adults, but in cases of grief or suicidal ideation in adolescents, I can intervene if there is family involvement and the environment is willing to collaborate. We assess each case carefully.
Yes. Everything we discuss in consultation is protected by professional confidentiality. The therapeutic space is designed to be confidential, safe and free from judgement. Here you can express yourself freely.
